Play all day

Every child needs some creative space. We are very fortunate to have a playroom for the boys. It is not very big, but it is their own little haven where they can play all day. Moving into the house, it was a blank canvas with white walls. I decided that it would be the perfect surprise for their 3rd birthday to decorate it and paint the walls.
Needless to say, they loved it! Here is the result...
Next to their table and chairs.
Close to the bookshelf.
On the left, next to the giraffe is a place where we measure them. Each year on their birthday we do the official measuring to see how much they've grown the past year.
Our numbers train.
They love trains and this is a fun way for them to start recognize the different numbers.

Here are close-up's of some of the other animals in the room.

And then no playroom is complete without proper space to store all those o-so-important stuff. Since my boys love to draw or paint, I've decided to use some old reclaimed wood and tin cans to solve the problem.
and for the bags and caps...
Hope you enjoy seeing the results as much as I enjoyed painting them, and the kids playing there.
